Online Counseling

At this time of widespread concern, we want you to know that your health is our top priority. During COVID-19 and social distancing, all therapy sessions will be conducted online via HIPPA compliant technology.

All therapists at Sarah Davis therapy are able to provide online therapy to clients in the state of New York. Sarah is able to provide therapy to those in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Florida in addition to New York.

There are many benefits to online counseling, in fact, many clients have chosen this mode of therapy over in-person sessions and we have been providing online counseling to clients for quite some time. We have found the work to be just as powerful as it is in-person with the added benefits of flexibility in scheduling, convenience, and comfort. Further, research shows that video sessions are as effective as in-person sessions in helping clients reach their goals.

We hear your thoughts and feelings and show up with compassion and non-judgement for you regardless of the platform.

Some Benefits of Online Counseling:

  • Confidential and Secure. Just as in an office setting, online counseling is confidential. It is conducted through a HIPPA compliant platform. Prior to our scheduled session, you will receive an email with a link. You will simply click on the link at the time of the session and it will allow access into the secure video “room.”

  • Convenient and Flexible. Online counseling eliminates the commute that an in-office session would require. It allows technology to bring therapy to you. Online therapy allows you to work around your schedule to fit in a session before work, between meetings, on your lunch break, when you are traveling, etc.

  • Comfort. Yes, life-changing therapy can occur from the comfort of your own couch! Many clients report feeling more at ease in their own familiar surroundings.

  • Provides opportunity for Exposure Response with virtual meal/snack support for those struggling with eating disorders. Learn more about our expertise with Eating Disorders here.
